We're finally starting to fill our space here at Enchanted. We have added to our inventory and, to better serve the needs that were expressed to us, we have gotten new superwash yarns and more worsted choices. I think that we now have anything you would want to make a project :) We have had such a good time this past month with our classes, birthday parties, and our yarn tasting! We know that our yarn tasting event will be an annual happening, and it will just get better every year. We had sample yarns to give out, everyone sat around and knitted, crocheted, ate great food, and got an awesome discount off any purchases made that day. Look at pictures from the yarn tasting here. Now that all the new yarn has been unveiled, it's all out on the shelves and on display! Come on by and check out what's new!

Steeking: We will be knitting a circular swatch and going over the techniques of steeking. We will cut open the steeks together an hopefully dispel some of the common fears of steeking! You will need to know how to knit, purl and pick up stitches. Class size limited to 5. Date: Friday, September 12, 1:00 pm Cost: $15
2 Socks on 2 circulars: We will go through knitting 2 socks on 2 circs. Requires basic sock knitting knowledge, you will bring your own pattern and we will start it on 2 circulars together. You will need to have knitted socks before, either on double points or circulars. Class size limited to 3. Date: Wednesday, September 17, 1:00 pm Cost: $15
Shrug Knit-along: Let's knit a shrug! Shrugs are fast, fun and cute. This will not be a class, there will not be a fee, but we will be available to answer any questions that we can and help you start your project. This pattern calls for approx. 560 yards of worsted weight yarn. This would be great to use up your stash! Date: Saturday, September 20th and 27th at 10:00.
Class policy: You are welcome to bring your own supplies from your stash if it meets the requirements for the class. Please register no later than 3 days before your class date so that we can give you the best classes possible! Thanks!
Charity Knitting Contest
Enchanted needs help finding a charity to knit for! Please help us by submitting your favorite charity or worthy cause to knit for. It would be awesome if it was a local charity, but any input would be very welcome! We will review submissions and the person who submits the charity we choose will receive a prize!
Customer Trunk Show
Be sure to plan for our customer trunk show event coming up in October. We will be accepting submissions of items closer to the actual event. The qualifications for entry require that you used either yarn you bought at Enchanted, a pattern you bought at Enchanted, or both. There is no fee to enter, items will be displayed for 2 weeks and will be labeled only with the name of the pattern and what yarn was used. No one will know who knit what (at least not if we can help it). Customers vote and prizes will be awarded to different categories. Winners will be announced in the shop and in our newsletter. This will be an awesome opportunity for people to show off their beautiful work and talent. So, start working now for anything you want to be entered. We are really excited about it and think it will be a blast!
Spinning Guild Meeting
Our monthly spinning guild will meet on the second Tuesday of each month at 10:00. In September that is the 9th, just bring your spinning wheel or spindle and join us! We will be talking about color and colorwork through spinning, so also bring an example of some of your colorful handspun yarn to show.
Halloween Party
Please start planning now to attend our Halloween party! We will be holding our bash on Saturday, November 1st, time will be announced. Costumes are required, but if you don't come in costume you will be required to "donate" $25 to one of our favorite local charities, A Voice For Animals. We will be roasting hot dogs and have a bonfire. It's going to be a great time! Please RSVP our social director, Nancy (
